Fantasies in Gingerbread
November 15 - 17, 2002

Imagine it...
A new England church nestled in a grove of ice-cream-cone trees,
sugar snow glistening on a curved roof
or a traditional New England home, snowy icicles hung from the roof,
a wisp of smoke from the chimney
or perhaps a copy of your own treasured family home
.....then...
.....Build an heirloom gingerbread house to treasure for years to come
and a special holiday memory of your weekend in Belfast Maine !
Mothers and children, husbands and wives, grandparents and grandchildren can build
lasting memories as they build their own magical version of a Gingerbread Fantasy house or church

The Historic Bed and Breakfast Inns of Belfast Maine are happy to present this special "Fantasies in Gingerbread" class. Learn the art of fine gingerbread-house-making from Mid-Coast Maine's foremost pastry chef, Steven Watts. With his careful guidance, each participant will build a truly spectacular gingerbread house or New England- style church, learning the special professional techniques that have made Steve's work sought after throughout the east coast. Class will be taught in the lovely Belfast boathouse - take a break and take in the view of Belfast harbor! Then relax each evening at one of Belfast's beautiful historic inns, sitting in front of the fire and imagining the "winter wonder" you are creating or wandering the streets and watching historic Belfast as she prepares for the coming holidays! |
Perhaps... someday...??? |
